Career History

With over 15 years of experience internationally and within the UK, Yen has a consistent track record in delivering exciting projects across the various sectors. His projects range from individual hotels and resorts to complex town centre mixed use schemes and large scale masterplans. He aims to deliver high quality built environments via the planning, design and implementation incorporating the UK specialist expertise relevant to the projects. He ensures that the works are appropriate to the culture in the places he practices architecture. He focuses in building effective and sustainable relationships with local associates and works together to provide high quality integrated services to exceed the clients’ expectation. As well as providing specialist skills in the design and planning; Yen has retained a hands-on involvement in the establishment of G1 Architecture. In the last five years, exciting new projects has taken Yen to countries in East and West Africa, Middle East and the CIS countries. Yen graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a Masters degree in Architecture with distinction. He began his architecture career during the final years of university and was privileged to have worked through the design and construction stages of the prestigious £414m Scottish Parliament Building in Edinburgh.

Yen is currently a South Cambridgeshire District Council Design Enabling Panel member.
